I posted yesterday but cant find so this is a repost if I duplicate sorry please let me know, I Have a case 1070 I use for a planter tractor had the {up and down]ON planter hooked to the inside hydro lever nearest to the seat and the row marker to the outside lever. Worked fine for hours then inside lever [up down] stopped and is just flopping in cab. I have checked all linkage and pins all hooked up, traced to box under fuel tank in back I assume where the valves are but rod is very loose and can be moved by hand back and forth on that shaft other lever still works properly thanks for any help on what this could be.

Sounds to me like you have a broken finger that sticks in the spool and moves it back and forth, not so common on seventy series but had some on 30 series. Remove the little cover, the problem should be apparent there. Unfortunately the valve must be removed to replace the broken part, keep us posted
