I have inherited a 1950 Case VAI. My father pulled it out of a fence row in 2011. He spent about 2 years fixing it. He passed away in March of this year. I also inherited two Farmall H's. I have the parts manual, I&T manual and a dealer service manual reprint for the VAI. I am not new to tractors, grew up on Farmall red and have owned a 51 FCub for almost 19 years. I also own a 50 JDA in the middle of a rebuild.
The Case did not have a serial number tag when he pulled it out of the fence row, but we narrowed it down to between 5450500 and 5458562 by the parts manual.
First question, is there any way of narrowing down the number more by casting codes ?
Second question. Can someone post a picture of how the throttle linkage hooks to the governor arm ?
I am not getting any governor response, so before I dive into the governor I want to make sure the external parts are right.
Thanks
