After cleaning the screen & inspecting the spool on the Rear Steering Valve, I hooked up the gauges, disconnected the line coming from the Filter, removed the fuse, removed the spring & poppet from the priority valve, and cannot equalize pressures. I have the adjuster bolt to a point, & if I go one way or the other, a fraction of a degree, pressures jump back & forth.

John, I am at my paying job til tomorrow at 7 am. But I don't recall removing the spring and poppet when trying to balance spool pressures. Can't go look at my manual. Your stuff may be a little different from mine. Tom

Tom: The Manual is clear on removing the spring & poppet from the priority valve. However, capping & plugging the line from the "pilot signal tube" is confusing. The valve pictured has 1 less port than mine, in that area. I assumed, by comparing similarities, that I should plug & cap the line coming from the filter. Maybe I goofed.

That's normal, tap rear steer valve w/hammer and set it close as you can. Next, center valve electrical control per shop manual.

John; Got home pulled section 5 from book. I set valve as per section 5240, my book is to old to show a filter setup or any extra lines. It may be possible that by capping the filter line instead of pilot line things are skewed. I do recall now that I removed the poppet and spring.
Off to church now and I have the privilege to teach SS (poor people). Tom
