1175 clutch

Put nine more springs in the preasure plate and a heavy duty disc. Put tractor back together would not disengage to shift gears also labored engine a little when pedal depressed any Ideas? We adjusted pedal distance

How are the thrust bearings on the crank shaft. Perhaps you are pushing the crank ahead with the extra spring tension.

Same thing happened on our tractor when we did the same thing. found if you let the pedal back just a bit worked ok so we just made a new pedal stop. I never could figure this out why either because nothing else was changed except the added springs and a button clutch. almost seemed like the clutch was going over center and reengaging. Try not pushing the pedal all the way though and see if it works then
