case 930 batteries

Mine had two six volts, one was always going bad and extra set of connections to take care of. I but in the biggest 12 volt that would fit. removed the cables I not longer needed. This has worked well for me. Same battery over 5 years. FYI: This is a gas motor, starts in all weathers.

I need to replace the batteries in a 930 diesel. The tractor is 20 miles out in the hills. I don't want to have drive out there and see whats in it. I know they are six volts. he wants to use 6v batteries.

The carquest store says they have no listing for a 930. If I can tell them the group size they are. They will order them.

It was a big mistake using 2-6V Batteries hooked in series. CASE realized their error & beginning with the 1030, CASE went to 2-12V batteries hooked in parallel. Buy 2 - 12V Group 30's & hook parallel. Pos to Pos to starter. Ground to Ground.

Do NOT use 6 volt batteries. 12 volt cost less and work MUCH better!! My 830's,930,870,970,and 2090 all have 1 of the largest 12 volt batteries I could fit in the box. They all start just fine, and the 12 volt batteries last 2 to 3 times as long as the 6 volts.

Thanks for the advice. What I really need is to know what group size 6v batteries the 930 used? I've looked on the net and can't find any info.

The owner does not want to change anything. just wants new 6v batteries.

Thank you!

I think this will be the last set of batteries the old farmer will need. he is 80 and only starts his tractor a few times a summer to mow with.
