VAC transmission problem

Found the noise maker in the front of the VAC transmission. The oil slinger on the front of the pinion shaft has no teeth left. Does anyone have one that is removed that they can sell me? This is a 1952 transmission. Email is open, phone is 605-695-1167.

You probably already have done this, so ignore if you have. Check the brass bushing that the reverse idler glides on. Also look at the condition of 3rd gear. My 1950 VAC was allowed to run low on lube, so reverse idler was flopping around on the shaft. 3rd gear was rounded off and would jump out of gear under a little load and deceleration. Anyway hope you can find your parts. Best wishes gobble

are they all the same or are the late ones different? I have several parts units,,, tried to call you let me know if the early pre Eagle Hitch ones are the same

Hey Tom that gear for the VAC is all the same which is 26 teeth instead of 32 teeth for all of the VA series . so if you have one the gentlemen is in a rush and he could get it faster from you as I already told him I had one but it will take longer for him to get it from me. jc marleau
