Well I got the sleeve 2 weeks ago as you can see wrong part. I had wanted to buy a rebuilt pressure plate a salvage yard had advertised for 89$ well they said they didn't have one but they may be able to get just the parts I needed. Anyway I sent back the clutch sleeve and had to convince them they never sent the clutch lever. So I checked back the end of last week to make sure they had received their part back and also sent a detailed set of pictures to show what I needed. The gentleman I've been working with seems like he wants to help but I realize were not talking a lot of money for them here and I really don't expect he will find me one although he has assured me he will keep looking. So I thought someone here may know were I can find one that works or one that's broke that just has the parts I need for it. Ill post some pictures

Id appreciate any leads or help Byron.

Can't help on the parts but I am impressed with you guys that can put pics and parts numbers on the screen. Us old dogs would never get that
figured out. If I remember you are working on a foot clutch tractor?? Got a hand clutch spare but probably different.

That is a "Tough Nut To Crack". CASE only used that arrangement 1 year before going to the Foot Clutch. We stock the Brass Collar & inventory says we should have a Finger here. It wouldn't be impossible to make a roller. Don't have a solution for the broken Sleeve, other than to repair it.

Thanks Guys I'm fresh out of Ideas! Please feel free to chime in. I know cast can be braised The crack is long but held together with the brass collar. The part that broke off that holds the clutch lever in place shattered into small pieces. I think that is going to be my biggest problem to overcome. I don't think it takes a lot of stress engaging. It was broke because one of the clips that hold the pin in place fell apart. I found the 2 pieces in the clutch compartment, it didn't appear to have been ripped apart rather I felt that It was over stretched when it was installed and looked like it simply came apart fell off and allowed the pin to migrate out and cause the catastrophic damage that you see. This had to have happened before I got the tractor because the wheel for the clutch lever was never found. The tractor ran well on just the 2 fingers but applied pressure in one localized place this caused excessive heat and a crack in the fly wheel second picture.

It was a 1952 SC with a left side hand clutch. There was a need during the first gulf war and the second to have an engineer on site but not possible so the pictures and text was my solution to the problem of submitting just a descriptive text across the country. I was not in the military but worked with them off and on for some 33 years.

That's what I have been racking my brain over how to add that additional leg that shattered. I have made some progress repairing and polishing the crank seems like I will be able to use standard rod bearings. The side to side movement I saw at the bearings was because the shells had about a maximum of .005 wear in them and one rod journal had .0008 out of round condition. I did plastic-gage what I had and found from .002 to .008 that corresponded with the bearing wear and the one journal out of round. The rings were so worn you could move the piston side to side with one finger. The pistons were hitting the sleeve on the way up or down in the lower portion of the sleeve don't know which maybe both. I'm still looking trying to get the measurement of the width a new set of 3/32 compression rings for 3 5/8 diameter pistons to see if the sleeves can be used as is. The width I have is .138 to .148 on the rings I removed. The thickness of the rings I measured was .090 I wish it was .093 that would fit the allowable tolerance in the groove. So If anyone is doing a rebuild on a case SC with 3 5/8 pistons 3/32 rings can you please measure the width for me?
Thanks again John Ill let you know on the parts.

Some of the experts here would know better than me, but I was thinking could clutch setup be converted to the older type clutch that parts can be found for. Just thinking. Dennis

I wish but because its live PTO, it has a single shaft and then the pinion and sleeves that surrounds the shaft for the PTO. Because its a LH hand clutch it a little hard to find. But then again you may be right at this point I'm willing to try anything.
Thanks Dennis for the suggestion Byron
