Installing Square Style Seals In Powershifts

After installing the newer style seals in a 70 series powershift, take the C-2 shuttle out of the control valve and drill the small hole out to 1/8 in. Tractors with these seals installed from the factory have the 1/8 in. hole in them. The old lip type seal had natural leakage that allowed C-2 to dump faster. With the later style seals by opening the hole up, it helps let the oil dump away a little quicker. Those seals have almost zero leakage. Not a big deal, but if you have the valve off anyway why not do it. With cold oil it does help things release quicker. Rod.
