Case 600

Have a chance to buy a 600. Pretty nice shape .Owner says it needs engine work. Haven't seen it yet. What is a fair price for one of these brutes? How hard to find engine parts?

What kind of 600? 6 cyl Diesel (600D) or 4 cyl 600 gas or diesel. Big difference. Dick

There's too many variables there. If the engine needs heads or other major work it'll get expensive in a hurry! What does it need work for? Low compression? Water in the oil? Spun bearings?
