Cut hay this week with my 630 and a 555 windrower. This weekend I will use the 300 and a 230 baler to put it up.

Ah come on now, I read on this website all the time that you have to have discmower, discbine, and 100 hp with cab as well as air conditioning to cut hay with. No way could one possibly cut hay with a a rig such as that. (PS Please do not tell my ole M, or my ole h what I just said when they are pulling my 9' Hesston sickle based cutter conditioner in a couple weeks hopefully - weather permitting).

Seriously though: Nice pics and thanks for sharing. Simply do not get the oportunity to see many working photos of 630's in action. Is that 630 diesel? If so I bet it is a real fuel miser. I know dad's case 430 diesel was our ultimate fuel miser back in the day. Wish I could kept it when he passed. Was a fun handy tractor to operate.

It is a 630 diesel. I got about 3 acres cut before dark, it used just over a gallon of fuel. And I do not care what the EPA says about their TEIR rating system, if you can get that much work done for that little fuel, you have a clean engine.

We had a relitively (for here) cold spring so things didn't get going until mid April, but then the grass really took off! I fertilized good and we did have good rain, so it will be a good crop in central VA if I can get it cured. Cut it Tues after work, still too damp to bale this afternoon.

I can almost smell the hay drying! Nice to see Case haymaking equipment at work. Would like to see pictures of your Case baler in action as well. Don
