1370 open station

Drove her home 15 miles from the consignment auction yesterday. Not perfect, but has potential. Lots of combustion bubbles in the radiator. Looks like it was apart in the last 5 years. with any luck it is just some of those generic head gaskets Rod warned us about.

The 504BDT makes beautiful noise when not being covered up by a cab. I'd recommend it as therapy to anyone.

Hi Rich,
Looks like you got a nice tractor recently. I put a lot of hours on a cab 1370 20 some years ago for a neighbor. I loved to hear that ol'
beast working under load. This one would be nice to drive and listen to her workin' hard. I would love to see a view from the seat lookin'
down the hood.

Good for you Rich, I have work around those tractors all my life and have never seen a open station 1370 other than in pics. Heck until a couple years ago I never knew they sold them without a cab. Even the sales lit always showed them with cabs. Oh by the way, as far as the bubbles in the radiator, my money's on the gaskets and I hope it is a easy fix for you. Rod.

It is kind like being seated at the end of a large dining room table... Will get some pictures once I get it fixed and in the field. My son's 870 engine, and a 1070 powershift job are in line first.

In all honesty I would rather it was an 1175, but beggars can't be choosers. It is Cat3(everything here is cat2), and big enough to rip apart most of the equipment I have here. Probably should start watching for a 7 shank disk chisel(which one of the 1070s could pull in a pinch) and wing disk for it.

Very nice find - I've never seen those bigger Cases without cabs. Must be a bit rare - I wonder how many were sold without cabs?

Very nice find! I hope you have all kinds of fun with that old warhorse. Many years ago an open station 1370 showed up at the local tractor pull and proceeded to tear the skid plate right off of the eliminator. The operator was not amused, but the crowd sure was. Don

Where are you? The history on this one, as best I can tell starts in Missouri(sticker from a starter rebuild shop), then southeastern OH(jockey/dealer sticker), then NW PA(previous owner).

Very odd for certain, would be interesting to know.

In searching the internet I only see one photo that has the proper left side step(similar but different than a small 70 series), most have modified steps from a cab tractor or something else.

This one has the right side step too, which is a hens tooth on a little one.

NE Wisconsin near Green Bay. That open station 1370 was the 1st and last one I ever saw in person. It would have been about 1980. Don

I owned a 1976 1370 and that Beast was a great tractor! My Father-in-law owned a 1570 what a puller! No open stations but I longed for the cool morning breeze blowin in my face many a time!
Thanks for the beautius PIC!
