Another propane question (photo)

I've gotten my 800 propane running and once it's going it runs well. My problem is that to get it running has taken a shot of carb cleaner into the carburetor. I've read that propane outfits sometimes have primers? I'm wondering if the button I've shown in the photo is the primer. Also, I don't have the air cleaner hooked up yet and was wondering if that would be enough to get it to suck fuel into the carb. Thanks for your help again!

My 830 has a Century instead of the Impco, but I have a solenoid that mounts over that hand push button and is wired to a button on the dash.

Here is a pic of my Century convertor. You can see the coil in the middle. The century convertors can be with or without the starting assist solenoid. I did some looking but I don't see the same thing offered for the Impco convertor, but they do offer a separate enrichment valve for cold starting.

I honestly wonder if the century solenoid couldn't be mounted right on your Impco convertor by the looks of the pictures.

SDLars,The Impco should also have a vacuum line that goes to the carburetor that pulls the diaphragm open when cranking over to give it gas to start.

Yes that's the primer button. I have a 930 gas converted to propane that uses a Century conversion kit. My regulator looks like the one in the picture.

SDLars.Where is that copper line coming out of the top of the valve going to?That should be the vacuum line from the carb.

That's the supply line from the tank. Has two other lines, inlet from the water pump and outlet back to the block.
