1030 3 point problem

Need some help with 3 point hitch problem. When I let the 3 point hitch down, the lever returns to the up position as soon as the implement bottoms out. Is there a sensor setting that needs adjustment or something else I'm missing? Thanks for any help you guys can give.

I had a 930 and 1030 in the 80's when I was farming that would give me fits with the three point and hydraulic system once in a while. It's a fairly easy fix. Pull the seat out and underneath there's a relief valve. As I can remember there are four bolts either 5/16 or 3/8 holding a lid cap on the valve. remove the cap and inside there is a plunger and cylinder. Pull the plunger out and clean and shine up with emery cloth. Do the same on the cylinder the plunger sets in. A fine speck of carbon or foreign material can cause the tight clearance of the plunger to hang up. This can affect the hydraulics also. It seems I would have to do this about once a year on both tractors. Give it a try and let me know if this fixes your problem. I'm almost betting money this will cure it.
