CC is done! (For now)

Well, after two years of on and off work, I finally got the '37 CC done and to a local show. I've got some more work to do, mostly to satisfy myself, but it doesn't look too bad. Tomorrow, I will see how it does in the parade.

You say it's done for now. It's beautiful, what more could you do, it looks perfect. You should be proud of that restoration.

Nice looking CC, you have done a super job. I redone a 38 CC for a friend a couple years back. They are great fun to drive. Dennis

Looks rwal nice! Now to find a job to fo with it so you can really enjoy it, without scratching it of course.

Still needs tires, but have held off. I know where a set of cast centers are, I just need to find the correct rims then put on 38". Want to find a good radiator curtain assembly, the two point lift bail, better fenders (the left has rust through), fix the parking break catch, those sort of things. But, I am happy with how it has turned out and had quite a bit of positive reaction when I dropped it off.

Yup, wrong manifold, wrong head, no heat shield, missing components for running distillate, wrong upper water neck, and to be completely honest, wrong color. It is a bit of a mutt. Late '38 engine with DC parts. I checked with local parts stores, but nobody could find this in their computer (LOL). I've got nothing to hide. To the casual observer, it looks right. Then again, everything is only original once.

Well, the parade went well. Had about 30 tractors in it. The CC ran good, albeit I was at idle in first gear. Had a lot of nice chats throughout the day and got a lot of comments and questions about the tractor, all positive. Thanks to all of you for all of your kind words. I see a lot of other projects posted on here and all I can say is WOW! Great job to all.
