2290 Been sitting - not run for a couple of years. Repaired powershift, now that works but the engine has no power. When you start cold, it starts promptly but won't rev up until it warm up for a couple of minutes. Blows a bunch of white / grey smoke when its doing this. Then it smooths out and will rev to redline but no power - like won't pull itself in 4th high. I've put new air filters, new fuel filters, bled everything. checked fuel pump. Looks like a pump problem. Is that possible??

This is more than likely not your problem but please the air induction system which is ahead of the air filters. I have seen those so full of leaves and mice nets to the point they smoked badly and had no power. Rod.

is this motor turbo charged ? perhaps the turbois stuck ,///.mite have water in fuel . drain entire fuel system replace with new fuel with 911,. mite try lucas upper cylinder fuel treatment ,,. ///finally the injector pump may have fouled upwhile sitting ,,stranger things have happened . went thru same scenario with a 354 perkinsin massey combine last fall took a month fixin one at atime ,,. but injector pumpreally made the combine run like it should ,, starts better than ever too

Along with everything else, take a strong flashlight and look inside the fuel tank to check for any kind of blockage to the supply line.

[Thanks for the replies guys. I checked the air intake, even ran it with the filter cover off. It seems to be getting lots of fuel when I loosten the plug at the pump. I am wondering if I took the endcap off the pump, can I check for sticky rack or similar problems?. Haven't worked on these inline pumps.

Make Sure The Fuel Return is not plugged] ,,.it should dribbler unused fuel back to tank ,,my 4020 deer will be a real mess when that line plugs

Now there's something I never thought of. I'll check that.
