Auction with many Case tractors today

Went to an auction near Delavan, IL today. My camera was doing some strange double picture stuff, but I'll attach what I got. Many of the tractors had new rubber, but they didn't start any of them, until the F20s sold. I didn't need any more, but should have bought a couple. I went to buy an IH #70 6-16 plow that was in amazing condition, and rare. Paid $800 for it, and sold it for $1500 before I loaded up. Didn't really need it, but I'll probably never see another like it. Kinda wish the guy wouldn't have been so persistent. I wasn't buying to re-sell. Anyway, here's the prices I remember:
Case "C" rough, no rear tires $125
LA with rattle can paint, not bad, said it ran good $1900 I think
500, said it ran, block badly cracked, but repaired, $2300
L, said it ran, $1100? not sure
LA, said it ran, decent tractor, around $1300 I think
800, brand new rubber all around, motor apart, $500 I think
730D NF, said it ran, $500
730D Swarts WF, stuck, $300
970, good shape, said it ran and operated great, but battery was too low to start, $3000

Good thing I had to work, plus I don't need anymore projects either. That looks like a nice #60 plow to me or at least the way the front hitch is attached is like a 60 vs 70. I would say the $800 you gave was definitely a buy and $1500 wasn't terrible either by the looks of it and you're right 5/6 bottoms like that don't come up often.

It was a #70. The #60 has the rockshaft under the frame, and it still had the sticker on the frame. The guy that bought it from me deals a lot of #70 plows, and he said the hitch was original, but I didn't think it was. It didn't look like any #70 hitch that I had seen.

Hey there tools
I would like to know who you sold the plow to
I would like to buy it
Thanks Doug

Doug- His name is Dale Wilgus. He lives in Troy, Ohio and said he advertises in Red Power Magazine, but not on the internet. Said he specializes in #70 plows, and calls
himself the plow guy. Seems like a good guy. I probably talked with him about an hour. I'm sure he bought the plow to make money with, and I'm curious as to what he will
ask for it. After he paid me, I asked him just that, but I didn't get an answer. I don't think you will ever find a nicer unrestored #70 6 bottom. The tires were a bit
cracked, and it needed hydraulic hoses, but the rest was excellent. Good luck.
