A friend of mine has this little seeder, that he bought several years ago from the soil conservation, and he would really like to know more about it, I think its a Case, but have no more information on it, he would love a manual and anything else you guys can help us with.

hmm! i'm not an authority on case drills but I don't recognize it as a case. That serial tag ought to have the Case name on it. It appears to me to be a no-till but I'm nit sure of the brand. How about it ACG or Case Nutty.

Dan I'm wondering if there's a seed chart under the lid?
Most of the brands had their name on the chart somewhere.

No chart Brad, I ask him that, once I was told, Case did have products like this, but not all sure on this, it seems odd the plate wouldn't reflect Case.

It doesn't look Case to me either but if it is, I'd think there would be an eagle on a cast piece somewhere like that big cast sprocket coming off the drive wheel.

The "S" in the model would indicate Case. I'm aware of a Case 2 row corn picker/sheller in my local area and it has an "S" in it's model so that's what I base my input on.

Brad, I wonder if this might be a "farmed out" (Case bought ship direct) product. But again, really nothing I can back that up with either

Interesting Ron, but tell me, did the Case shellers have the Eagle on the plate?

Looks like a United Tool Co. drill. Think that was the name. Nothing remotely close to that in any Case books I have. Tom's seeder and ED drills were the last style Case marketed and they did not have the seed firming wheels this one has. My vote....not Case.

Model IS picker sheller, based on a model I 2 row picker with a corn sheller incorporated into the unit. I have two model IS picker-shellers. The S stands for sheller.

I am thinking may be a Tye Drill. Can't give you the model # but it sure looks like some of the early Tye Drills.

Something shook off the dust in my old brain, and it was the replies I have gotten here, I really think this is a Tye, as Case would have always branded the serial # plate, and looking back through archives here and there, the color and the look of the boxes sure look Tye.
Truely I dont know what I was thinking to even given it a thought it was Case.
But again, old friends and new ones help me, help my friend
Thanks my friends, all of you
Dan
