One more auger box plus '47 Chevy!

Brakes need some work and I'd like to fashion some rear fenders, otherwise runs like a top!
This is an example of the bigger box that Case offered on tandem axles. Or could be had without axles for this purpose.
Slide gate opening is a little different and a nice feature. This box had the factory extensions but just wasn't enough...twice!
Anybody notice Old Abe perched at the top?

Filled full with all those side-boards has to be a tough pull for the bottom auger. You should be able to start your own feed delivery service with a nice outfit like that. Seems the tu-tone ones of mine are the only ones with the Eagle decal on the auger. Feed grinders have it also.

I've seen rear fenders made from galvanized drainage culvert.

Great looking old chevy truck. My Grandpa had one just like it, same color and it had those frame plates just like that too. Dad cut it in half and made a water trailer out of it back in the early 80's.

I assume the Helix was repainted, or?

Thanks to all for the nice comments. Sorry about the double picture.
All the credit goes to the previous owner. The truck and box were always shedded and well cared for.
In fact, the previous owner insisted it goes back in his shed after the sale until I had time to pick it up.

My Grandpa had a '47 Chevy identical to this but with a grain box and hoist.
Many fond harvest memories I won't go into now but they all involve family, Chevy grain trucks and Case combines.
Finding an original running survivor and with a Case box yet besides was to good to be true and I couldn't pass it up.
Believe it or not, but all the gauges work. Even the back lighting in the gauge cluster works.
Like I said earlier, I do need to get the brakes working but otherwise I think its a gem.
