Sweet Tooth !!

As some of you might guess, my order from Loren arrived, and let me tell you. It's lipsmackin, fingerlickin, good. Thanks Loren for another mighty fine batch of syrup, and fixin's. Was nice talking with you, will definitely be making that visit for sure now. Stopped by Gerry's today and left a tasty sample for him to try, should have seen the look on his face. Hope everyone gets to try this batch, best yet.

Mike, Well after you dropped off that wonderful package, I just had to try it. I know were I am headed next year ,to Lorens and get some more and say hello. Hope you were not late for work, and glad you liked how the shop has come along. Again THANK YOU. Jerry

Mike, how did all the packages make the trip??? Still trying to control the damage in the boxes.
We did have some great runs producing some real nice syrup this year, but still came up short of our goals for this year. We have been trying to take down buckets and get them washed up, but the planting season broke here and we lost the help of the uncles and 2 cousins. They are busy discing, harrowing, picking rocks, broadcasting fertilizer, and drilling oats and seeding.
To make matters worse, although there is a State wide burning ban, and Red Flag warnings in this area, The citiots have lit fires to burn leaves and grass, and our local dept. has been called out everyday this week. One of my cousins is fire cheif of our local FD and another cousin is a Lt. Don't leave a lot of help in the cleanup process. This afternoon, it ended up as Me, Myself, and I. I had enough buckets hauled down to my house to start washing them out. The pile of upside down buckets drying out represents a count of 495 bkts that I washed today with the pressure washer. A long ways to go at this rate to wash all 2300.

Have you tried the square flat boxes? My friends ship syrup and use a 14x14 box that is about 5 inches deep. They then use a foam insert that is actually used in packing and shipping apples. They take and cut out the foam between the slots for the apples and it makes a perfect home for up to a pint of syrup, honey, etc. They rarely have anyone say there was damage. I want to say they buy the supplies from a company in NY. E-mail is open if you want me to try and get you some more info.

Loren, hope you have me down, for 2 gal.Can you email me with the amount, will get a check off to you
