Seat on 311 and 300 the same.

my 311 is missing the back rest part of the seat. I can find one for a 300 but not a 311. I am sure they are the same but I wanted some experts opinions before I orderd it. Little ruff on the back riding it all day.

By 300, I assume you mean the 1956 - 57 round nose. The "300" is a series of tractor. The 300 series includes the models 301, 311, 310, & 312. All these models are badged "300" on the sheet metal.

MY Case 300 parts manual R.I. A324 only shows one seat, the easy ride seat, pan with no back support. I have this seat on my 1956 310.

The 1958 - 59 300B series tractors Case parts manual R.I. A377 shows the same easy ride seat and with an optional "Deluxe Seat" which includes a different frame, pan and back support. I have the deluxe seat on my 311B. The 300B series of tractors which include the models 301B, 310B, & 311B are all badged "300" on the sheet metal as well.

In researching this a little more the pivot arms and bracket that support the seat mounting on the easy ride seat were changed s/n 6075081 (sometime in 1957). I don't know how that might impact compatibility with the Deluxe seat mounting if your tractor is prior 6075081 and you just plan on changing the seat only.

If you are changing the entire seat assembly the other p/n's are the same.
