I decided to replace the old dash in the 830 today, new dash will have oil press, water temp, ammeter, fuel press, converter press, converter temp, pyrometer, tach, and speedometer. Let me know what you guys think, I wanted to add a few more gauges and the old cluster was not working, will post more pics when I paint and install new gauges.

While you are fabbing, I would add an eyebrow like late early 7-830s EH had above the gauges. Also while you are at it. put in a couple of license plate light fixtures to iluminate the gauges. Not being critical, just sugesting, as you seam very capable, and would add a nice finished touch, with a peice of chrome door edge trim on the eyebrow.

Loren,
That's a good idea. I might just do that. I might even have an eyebrow from my old 930. I did leave the two light holes on either side of the dash but one at the top might be a good idea.
Thanks

Nice work!!! I have an early 730 gas that came to me with the entire gauge panel missing and I was thinking of doing something similar. Now that I see yours, I am a lot less hesitant!

I marked them with a gauge, and usually can cut out the small holes with a 2" holesaw, but since I welded the plate in the holesaw wouldn't touch it, I had to use a jigsaw, next time I will plan out my spot welds a little better so I can use the holesaw

John,
Thats a flathead Ford V8, someday I think it will go in my 9n. I just need to buy the conversion kit.
