Backhoe tires

I have a 580 CK that needs new back tires. Which would be best, regular ag tractor tires (R 1) or industrial tires (R 4). Industrial tires are about $130 more than the R 1 's.

I have a Ford 655A. One of the reasons I bought it is it has standard size tires, so I have choices. It had worn industrial on it. They weren't much good in the field. I put the heaviest regular tractor tires on it, and they have worked fine.

The R4 tread will give alot longer life if you drive it in the street. If that's not an issue , ag tires will be ok ...

There is a lot of used backhoe tires for sale out there. There is usually some on e-bay. I have a couple on rims for $200.00 each but I'm in Oregon. Dick

Charles the ind tires we put on seemed like they had a heaver sidewall than regular Ag tires even tho the ply rating was the same.
