Sorry, should be Don R
About 25 miles south of me in Anderson SC, Case dealer was "Foundry and Steel".
Very old brick buildings right on the railroad. I remember walking into the parts dept right on the street. Step down about 3 steps in a door touching the sidewalk. Ancient old dungeon like atmosphere.
Had a very nice cast eagle on the floor with very good paint still on it.
A parts man was a little short fellow with a limp named Toddy Hopkins. He repaired magnetos and after he retired did it at home for years. Just died recently. I will try to get a pic of the buildings next time I am down that way.
