1394 military issue question

Just purchased a 1394 painted green with Air Force logos. Is this more valuable as a green tractor, or original colors? I do plan to resell this but don't want to ruin a collector out of ignorance. It would be easier to sell in my market as a farm tractor rather than a collector.

Second question, I believe this is a 1984 model year. Should the original colors be white, black and orange or red and black.

Thanks for any help and sorry for the ignorant questions.

These tractors were painted these colors for the Air Force for the Civil Engineering sections for heavy runway repair. They were usually shipped to the bases with front mounted Sweepster brooms to sweep the runways and taxiways during construction. A lot of them were also used for mowing missile sites and base grounds. They were a pretty good tractor. So, the color of yours is the correct color, being it was owned by the Air Force.
Does it have a data plate riveted somewhere on the body, i.e., on the front panel by the radiator?

Cab or open station?

I have 3 of them here. Mine are all yellow with a cab, 2 were AF, one NASA.

In 84 it should have been a black chassis, white tin, orange wheels. Probably not worth the effort of painting.

They aren't particularly valuable in any form. Just a good value because of how little actual work they did, and the low hours they usually have.

It is an open tractor with ROPS and canopy no data plate that I can find currently. that answers my questions. Sounds like it will sell as a worker rather than collector. Thanks to all.
