2470 2670 planetary

I have a 2470 with a broken right rear yoke,spindle housing and spindle that goes into the planetary. I'm wondering if a 2670 planetary will work?

According to the parts book they use the same axle shaft.
Could a just unbolt the trunnion assembly from the axle on a 2670 and bolt everything onto the 2470?

Is the planetary geared the same or will the one wheel try to hop does anyone know?

2470 has 25teeth on planetary and about 51/2" across if that helps.

Looking at the parts lists 2470/2670 makes me think you better call elmer's repair. Or john dew. Tom

well it bolts up just fine. According to the parts book all the gears in the planetary are the same so to me that mean it should be the same ratio. I haven't moved it yet.

This is an early 2470 replaced with parts from a late 2670. They used a different style of king pin. I took the planetary apart and installed the spindle with the trunnion all as one unit.
