Currently it would be the early 1940 VC I just got . Light and agile , it's the right size to take to shows. I hope to take it to Tulare this month , and for sure Vista, Ca. in June. I just shelled out for a pair of 11.2 X 36 rear tires, I'm gonna enjoy them !!

1. Dc,that is the only letter series that I like and I just happen to have the one my dad had.
2.none really, never really had much interest in those. But since the 30 series will be taken with something else I'll put the 530 com here. Would like one of those, but it's not my favorite 30.
3.My favorite here will be the 900.
4. Deffinately an 830 ck com. With a close second to 830 eh com. And an honorable mention to the 1030. These are my favorite of all the case tractors. If I had one of each of the 30's my collection would be complete.
5. 870. Dad bought a new one in 70 or 71 and I spent a lot of time on it. He also bought a new 970, trading the 870 in '76. I probly spent more time on the 970, but liked the 870 better.
6.4890. Gotta go with the big dog here. Lol altho these are too new for my liking.

Good quiz Loren, but hard to decide among favorites.

4. Late 1030 w/factory cab
5. 1175 tough, tough, tough

1) VAC, its what we had growing up.
2) 300 triple range
3) 800B Diesel, can't say enough good things about this model.
4) 530, one of the best big little tractors ever made.
5) 970
6) What was the question:)

I really like the big 400. That was the template for all the models that came after. Case really made a big deal when the 400 came out. There was a lot of advertising put out for that model and Case had a big dog and pony show for the dealers to get the word out about the new tractor. I started collecting advertising items for the 400,but there is just too much of it to try to acquire, so I gave up on the project.

730 930 and 1030 I like them because they are my old reliables. Next pic would be VA and VAC14 ,my dads tractors. A picture of my late dad when he was around 35, lot younger that I am now. Bruce

I'll list the models from that series I have experience with to choose from.

1) letter series tractors -37 RC, 39 DC, 41 VC, 41 VC
RC wins smooth, easy to operate, not clumsy. could be an SC but we never had one. I like the VC but its governor isn't great and the clutch isn't as nice as the smooth oil bath clutch.
(2) 100 series/Rock Island -56 300, 57 350
350 wins for the 36" tires and more power
(3) 100 series/Racine -57 400, 57 600, 57 800, 58 800
400 wins just because. 800's do look sharp though
(4) 30 series - 830EH, 63 630
630 wins for triple range and that great 188 diesel motor
(5) 70 series -70 870,70 870, 7? 870, 1470, 1070
870 wins (we have three of them)
(6) 90 series -2390 2096
2390

1. VAC, lots of heart for a little tractor.

2. 310 w/ldr shuttle trans dual range
3. 400 diesel just on its looks if nothing else
4. 830CK awesome tractor
5. 1070 turns the baler with ease

1. Late VAC with Eagle Hitch - Handy as a pocket on your shirt.
2. 351with triple range - The 350s benefited from the extra HP over the 300's but kept the great looks that were lost in the 100Bs
3. 400 Super Diesel - They made the best better. A great tractor for it's time.
4. 630 Diesel (RI) / 1030 (Racine) - Case pushed HP to drive train limits in both of these.
5. 1570 - Many hours were logged on this beast. A true Deere and Farmall killer.
6. Was there life after the 70 series? Who knew?.....

1 DC SC VAC L

'53 DC
350
800
730CK
870 (Only because we had it longer than the 1175)
4890

I haven't got the W# running yet so I can't rule it out. My legs are going and I can't wait to try the COM. Un like a lot of you I am a wannabe farmer (wished I ahd farmed for a living.

1. my 310 w/ Loader -First drove it working during harvest on an Apple orchard - loved the triple range low gear - I could go over deep ruts on hillsides without much throttle, it would crawl into the ruts and slowly gently up out of the ruts without damaging the fruit. It was the beginning of a long love affair - it sat a few years at the orchard and several attempts later I still couldn't buy it. One day I asked why it was just rusting away and hesaid $1500 and I bought it - 20 minutes later I was driving it home. I have worked it hard since then 1994 doing custom tractor work and work here ( the engine has a bad cylinder and it will get an overhaul this year finally. We are buddies (me and MY 310 roundnose. It hitchhiked all the way to Oklahoma when I moved here from MA. , just to be with me.

2. CC on steel when I was 13 years old on a dairy farm. Gray tractors with N & NA couldn't touch it and red tractors couldn't keep their front wheels on the ground when they caught a tree root near the edges of the small new England fields. I'd love a CC for old time sakes.

#40 My TO 30 -sold it after bushogging for 5 minutes.

I have only one Case in my line up of tractors and it is an RC. They are a nice little tractor. I have had mine since about 1970 and bought it for $25.00. It has been kept inside every since I bought it. The only thing it could use is a better fuel tank. When I got it the bottom of tank was rusted out so I mounted an other tank inside it.

1. VAC13 2.300 round nose triple range. 3. 630 utility/930CK/830com-sorry, couldn't decide, but in that order. 4. 870

L, 300, big 600,730com,1370,2090. The L and the 600 have such smooth sounding slow running engines and run forever, the 730 com and I spent a lot of time together when I was a teeneager working summerfallow and the 1370 would pull so much more than it was supposed to be able to

From top to bottom

1st 800B
2nd 401 Super Diesel
3rd 530 case-o-matic

OK, 1958 Dad bought a brandy-new 700 dual-range, well it was oh maybe 2 or 3 yrs. later before he let me loose by myself.....baling hay then on to disking, chopping' corn. The 700 and I was the whole package when it came to fall plowing most ofyou have heard about my past on this one. 530 gas triple-rangle replaced the ford-loader tractor in 1964. Whata little workhorse she cleaned barns, snow and beat a 4020 in ah mile race after the home-comming prade in 1969 minus the float! I was the FFA prez that yr.. Then we had a old SC showed up one day don't know the story on why? she did her best cultvating corn, haywagons things like that. For speed down the open road the 530 the old 700 she did everything else better (besides I liked the sound she made under a load. 1st the 700 2nd 530 and 3rd the SC. God Bless
