Pores in sleeve, Case 1370

New problems :(
The last sleeve I pulled out has pores. All the others looked really good, and so did this one, except for a small part of it that has got alot of small pores. I stuck a needle in the deepest pore for about 2 mm. And the thickness of the sleeve material is 6 mm. Shall I get a new one? If I rotate in a bit, will it stop became deeper pores on this place?
This cylinder also had small cracks in the piston. Som maybe this cavitation is because of that. And I guess the problem is a earlier bad injector.

Most definitely, do not re-use that sleeve. Cavitation such as that will always be closest to the Cam Shaft.

New sleeves will do that all over again if proper care is not taken. Case supplied an antifreeze filter that mounted right ahead of the fuel filters with an additive package to control the erosion damage.

Most people do not test antifreeze to make sure it is good but there are test strips to tell if the antifreeze is still good.

In my opinion parts replacement is in order for all the cylinders.

As John has said check the lower counterbores for erosion as that was a possibility.

The lower bores are where the orings set, I probably confused the issue a bit saying counterbores, there is a tapered top approach to the bore to help guide the oring in gradually, that should be descaled and the lower bores cleaned up lightly with emery cloth and checked for finger erosion, little tracks that extend more or less straight down from the top.

Do not do any work on the block cleaning or otherwise till the rod journals have rags tied around them to protect from dirt or emery paper particles getting in the oil holes.

Henrik how many Orings do you have on your sleeves? I believe the originals have 2 and newer sleeves used 3 to help keep the water out of the oil pan

The sleeve shows signs of having laid on a wet dirt floor for a long period of time. Check the tractor's history. It may be a situation of shoddy repairs made.
