Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Son blew a hydraulic hose on his Case 420 skid steer. He put the new hose on and called the local Case-IH dealer to find out what the hydraulic system used for oil.
You guessed it. They dinked around for about 20 minutes and couldn't come up with any concrete advice other than we "think" they used engine oil in everything just to keep it simple. (????) So you ain't the only one! Jeff was not impressed. In all fairness to the dealer, they never were a Case dealer, they were a Farmall dealer.
So I'll ask you. What type of oil is supposed to be used in a 420 skid steer hydraulic system?
Oh yeah, the enterance to one section of our woods is an incline off the main road. The snow in only drifted in over 6 feet deep. Gotta get the dozer in there today and get that section of woods plowed out. Some fun! Then we will start tappig trees.
