With some help from bro., I who sent me a download for a "Mr Gasket" recirculating pressure regulator. Easily adjustable from 1/2" pound to 5 pounds. I have the regulator set in the minimum setting and the motor is responding great.
Now for the down side; Friday when I picked up the new packings from one of the blade cylinders, from the hyd shop, I forgot to make sure everything was in the box that the old and new parts were in. Went to assemble the cylinder Sat morning, and dam, NO nut to hold piston on rod. Gerrrrrrr. They wern't open Sat. so I called over this morning and it was sitting on the counter under some stuff. Well I had to go down in the valley and have some blood drawn for my upcoming second shot for my cancer treatments. They drew far more than usual ??? Anyway As I said bro. forwarded the info for pressure reg. to me and it was offered by Auto Zone store near hyd shop.
I walked in with the part # pic, and price on a paper printed off my computer. Finally a young twit with pink and purple hair and pierced earings stuck in her nose and eyebrows came to the counter. "I was impressed" lol. She looked it up and said she would have to order it. Well, I asked, how long will that take?? She punched a few more keys and said it was NLA. She sugested that I go across the arterial to the Advanced Auto store, which I did. I walked in the door and there wasn't a counter person to be found. I wandered around and finaly I hear a female voice from behind the wall behind the counter, saying that she would be write with me. OK she came out and I layed down the spec sheet in front of her. She pushed some buttons on her keyboard, and walked to an adjacent isle behind her an came back with just what I wanted. HURRAY !!! She charged me the price on my downloaded sheet and I was on my way.
That made it a good day again. I got home, and as said thing progressed well, and dozer is running.
Now the bad part again. I'm not feeling good at all. About passed out making the walk from shop to the family room. Rolled up my shirt sleeve and put the blood pressure monitor on. Blood pressure way low, and heart betting extreamly fast. Just sitting back and hopeing I feel better tomarrow. We're supposed to start tapping trees, tomarrow afternoon.
I think my crankcase is low HeHe.

That's great news on the little dozer. Should have picked up a pressure regulator for yourself too eh.

Here in Rusty acre land we have Auto Zone, O, Rielly's , Auto value and, John Deere within 3 blocks of Walmart so you have a choice. PS Don kept me out till 6:30 PM to night. Dave

Loren I am glad that you got the 310 running like a top. Make sure you hydrate! We usually are running a quart low during the winter due to not being thirsty, and after they sucked the blood out of you, you will really need it. Take care! Zane

Fluids Loren, lots of fluids. I wasn't aware you were going through treatment. After watching my mother, I'm convinced attitude is at least 75% of any successful cancer treatment program. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I've seen several 310's for sale on CL recently. Out of my price league, but I'd sure like one. I'm supposed to get a new/used JD 420 here today. Was supposed to have been yesterday but my trucker had problems. I really need a crawler in this snow!

BTW- what town did you have to go to? I'm still not sure exactly where you are? Rome? Utica?

Loren glad to hear the dozer is running well again, now more importantly we want you to be running well again. Do as the doc's tell you and everyone will be hoping soon to hear you are running like new. Rod.

Loren,

Your story about Autozone is similar to mine. The manager told me about 5 years ago, "We don't do tractors." Haven't been back since.

I hope you're feeling better today. Syrup season is here. Don

Yea Loren like the others, I'm too, as you have posted pics and details, and its fun for me to see a project like this come together. Yea Tom is always there, I have to say when I'm in a pinch, I just get on the phone, right Tom?

Regarding your not feeling good after the blood drawn, I was wondering if it was those nose rings and pink hair, as I know it would slow me down too!
Keep the posts coming Loren
