Spliting pins

I'm looking for 3/4 splitting pins for a 1952 case sc that I need to put a new clutch in. Any Ideas will be helpful don't have a lot of money. The tractor is a single wheel row tractor left hand hand clutch. Anyone change a clutch in a 52 53 model with live pto I don't have it out but I believe it has 14 splines instead of 10 just kind of like to know what all im up against haven't found a new throw out bearing yet. Thanks

If your talking about the long dowls to slide them together why don't you get som long 3/4" bolts and cut the heads off. Thats worked for me before? Dick, OR.

Just get piece of cold-rolled steel in the proper diameter and make our own. You probably need about 3 feet to make 2 dowels.

You might have problems finding bolts that are long enough and are affordable. 3/4" bolts are expensive enough, but anything over 9" long gets much worse. Also, your left-side hand clutch is the least common of any clutch used in an SC tractor, and I have heard that some parts are difficult to find. I have just gone through my 1954' SC with the foot clutch and made up a set of splitting pins. I do not plan on selling them, but contact me by email and we may be able to work something out.

Recently I needed to split our 830 to do a clutch
job. I went to our local steel sales business and
bought the right diameter cold draw steel rod. The
price was reasonable and they worked out great
Made them a little longer than suggested in the
manual. The cold drawn steel is harder and
stronger than hot roll. Hope this helps.
Thanks

This is the tractor one of the 4117AA clutch levers is broke. I'm replacing the head gasket also because of a small seepage between the #3 &4 cyl I suppose I may pull the pistons as well if I don't get good numbers on the compression and I believe I can isolate it from valves, guides or the rings. It burns oil in the #2&#3 cyl

Just to err on the side of caution, the splitting/alignment pins are just that. If you read your manual, they are not to support the tractor. They are for alignment only. My 2 cents . Good Luck

Thanks to all I did go to Tucson and had to buy 20 ft of 3/4 round Ill see if it turns out to be strong enough because they gave the wrong material . However im going to try it anyway because it has a yield strength of 36000 P.S.I and a Tensile strength of 58000 P.S.I and the closest town were I bought it Tucson is some 80 miles from here. If it works fine I will cut it up and give the remaining material to anyone who wants it if they just pay the shipping cost. Ill Let ya know
