Not Case But...

It still a nice old tractor.I've had it for 25 years and am finally getting it finished. Early when I first got it I went through mechanically and said someday I will paint it. Well after lots of use and repairs the head cracked and I was forced to fix the head and a few other things. Finally the old girl got the paint she's needed desperately for a long time. I am second owner and it has never made it more than 15-20 miles from the factory in Rock Island,Il.

Nice looking MTA. I drove one for a neighbor when I was a wee bit lot younger. If I wanted a farmal, I would have a M with a TA. Dick, OR.

Very nice Farmall you have there. Sometimes we see Case tractors repainted red, but we never see a red one repainted Case Colors. I wonder why? I will never be able to purchase a Magnum, but sure would Like to see one painted up in Power White and Red. Rod.

Paul,

Very nice work done on that Farmall. I would guess that is quite a rare machine and you should be a proud owner.

When the tractor wars were in high gear and Case machines were getting picked on for their "old-fashioned" steering design the Case salesmen said MTA stood for More Trouble Ahead. Those were the good ol' days.

Nice job ..she is a pretty one,, no wonder Case IHC had to have a shotgun wedding some 20 yrs later ,, a ornery ol DC like I have got in the shed would certainly want to have its way with her .. LOL

Paul, nice looking tractor! do you have power steering in it? Those weights make it look like it might be a bit stiff steering. We've never had a MTA, but have had 3 450's over the years, good handy tractors. Mike

Looks good Paul! You're not alone as we have two of them as well. The one I repainted we have had for 20 yrs already and the other one isn't done and have only had it for 5 yrs or so. We have always had Case and Farmall tractors.
