Thanks for posting these fair pictures. Our local fair hasn't had a machinery display since the early 80's. Sure miss those times. Don
 
Did they work well? Half the time we parked the spreader by a barn and hitched it up to a tractor when the spreader needed to be moved again. Back in those days a HD jack would have cost less than $5.
 
We still have one of those spreader frams that we cut down and mounted a 275gal gathering tank on for our maple syrup operation. The hitch has been bent and twisted, and rhe roller are no longer round, but it still works and we use the self riser any tine we hook or un hook. When we store the rig it is much shorter also, with the hitch slid back. The white tank is the one that I am refering to.
