Still having Problems with a 730

We are still having trouble starting this tractor I think we have got all the fuel lines bled out but i am not sure. We have fuel at the injectors, fuel pump and filters. When trying to start it just cranking it blows lots of white smoke but just will not catch. so we tried cranking it and spraying a bit of ether in it and it will start to run but then dies. I believe its a 1964. it has a decompression lever but when we got one new head for it ( because the other was cracked) it did not have the hole for it so one head has decompression and the other does not. Im not sure maybe its still got a bit of an air lock? any suggestions would be appreciated !
Thanks

Vern told me about this last night. If you have
any clean road over in Brock, drag it down the
road in high gear, That could be all you need to
do.I have had my 1030 out of fuel and the only way
we could get it back to life , was to tow it.
Unless it is a Case-o-Matic, Bruce

Have you tried pulling it to start? My 700 would not start but create a lot of white smoke when it was cold. The only way I could start it was to pull it - and then it fired up almost immediately. It had internal engine problems.

no doesnt have that either, I wonder if the battery isn't strong enough i might hook my truck up to it

What was done to heads. If valves were ground
compression might be low.
Has injection pump been removed or timing
changed sometime?
Crack open bleeder cap on final filter an it
should have fuel squirt while you crank engine
insuring a good continous supply of fuel.
Maybe your battery does not spin engine fast
enough .
You said it will fire on either( very
minimum. Sometimes we need to give ours minium
squirts for few seconds.

well it had a cracked head so we got another one for it one of the pistons broke in half and made a mess of the shelve but this was a year ago and why we are fixing it. everything haves been removed we checked the timing and it seems to be good.

Guys, You Can Pull start a CASE-O MATIC , especealy helpful is a decompresser on a 800 ,I often roll start my 800 over the hill next to shop ,,what ido on cold motor .. put trans in 5th or 6 gear .decompress valves, engage direct drive , engage starter motor and release the brake , you will be able to tell when the torque convertor engages , at which time dump the decompresser and it will start ,,imho , as long as the starter remains engaged with gravity helping , there is little risk to any of the componets ,.
