I have 2 questions on my 970: Has anyone ever replaced the shaft that the remote bellcranks pivot on? Looks like it it rusted fast into the platform.
The shifter was completely shot so i replaced all the parts from the transmission up to the shift levers, now the quadrants are not centered. Do i adjust the turnbuckles on the rods and that's it? The service manual says to have your forks at 90 degrees and the external levers at 14 degrees which has already been done. The old shift rods were all bent up with round bar welded on them. Looking for some advice on this as all my older case friends/mechanics have passed.

I have seen where the remote linkage pivots get tight and need some form of lube, but I have not replaced any yet. The shifter linkage is adjusted with the turnbuckles. Just get the shift levers centered in console when they are in neutral. All should work well unless there are other issues, Rod.

Rod just curious where you set the the regulated pressure and the remote valve pressures on the 70 series tractors? I try to have the regulated pressure at 210 and the remote pressure at 2200. One of the older case mechanics where i used to work told me that was good for all the case 2wd tractors.
