Needing to mount sensor on our 1175 says two magnets on the front of pulley ok but does anyone have picture of how to mount the pick up modual?

I never heard of it being done on an older tractor. Didn't know it was possible. When it was standard on the later tractors, was the sensor on the flywheel? Was this a kit you acquired to convert the older tractors?

John We are making a pulling tractor. The rules call for a sensor with an electric cord plug in at the rear of tractor that the sled plugs into to monitor your rpms . we are limited to stock or in some pulls 2600 rpms. Got the kit from Scheids

Just pick out a bolt holding the timing cover on and build a bracket. I would prefer the right side opposite the fuel pump easier to get to if need be.I think maybe just a piece of straight strap steel and then weld or bolt the rpm sensor to it. when you tighten the timing cover bolt back down that should hold it from moving. It tells in the directions how close the pickup needs to be to the magnet. If you are pulling in the Effingham area you only need to mount one of the magnets. If you mount both it will read twice your actual rpm.
