Went to Illinois and met up with Pastor John and cousin Scott Last week. The split went well We found the clutch was to the point of toast. The flywheel need dressed up .010 to .015 cleaned it up. Just a few fractures remained. Nothing we could not live with. A clutch was expedited from Indiana in 1 1/2 days. Rear crank seal replaced as well as the input shaft seal.bearing and oring in the flywheel. Constant ribbing from Scott and John carried through for 3 days. A small price to pay for all their free labor. Pastor John made good on cleaning out the 90 weight from the rear end. A lite spritzing of enviro solve ,and wiping down the bull gears, and pinion .The clutch shaft bearing and seal was also replaced, and the baffle plate modification was installed. A fresh gasket was made for the rear top trans cover, and Pastor John replicated a new belt pulley gasket under careful tutelage. The Marvel Shieb. carb was rebuilt and set by Scott. I made sure that Barley Pops were kept at a precise temperature, and proper seal/ bearing installation. Ron Shank stopped by to check on the seal and bearing install. Thanks to Bill Brackemeyer for lining up a local Machine shop for flywheel cleanup. Thanks to Eli Gansen for his tech support. To John and Chris Saeli ,many thanks for bearings and seals. The test ride @+10 degrees went well, We were able to accomplish 80% of the project, but are they ever really finished? Thanks for listening. Chuck Machinist
