cummins in case chassis

I know the 1896 came with the Cummins 5.9, which other models came a 5.9? Also did they use an adapter plate or a direct bolt in?

seen a 8.3 in a 2594 on the local deere dealer lot in 90. it was not a cobble job it was a official one from case even had a experimental serial tag

Do you remember what the tag had stamped on it? Most of the ones I have seen from the 40's and 50's had EXP stamped on them along with other numbers. I have not seen any 30 series or newer EXP tags. Thanks Nick

i know it was not a 994 number it had x's and a 3 or 4 digit number. wish they had cell phones with cameras back then i would have taken some pictures
