Rolled into Northwest Ill. To split the 411 at my cousins Scotts. Snow storm nipping at my heels. 12" as of 10:00 this morning . Work on the old girl starts tomorrow. To be continued. Barley pops are in the snow bank ! Chuck

Chuck, Glad you made it before it got real bad. Continues to snow and BLOW here in Central Iowa. About seven inchs at 7am. Now with the wind the yard is zero to about the top of my mucks. Of course the driveway always fills with drifts. Will tackle that tomorrow after it warms up a little from -1. The DC will get it cleaned up, not quickly but it will clear the drives.Hope all goes well with the 400. tom/aka/gobble
 
Chuck, I might have missed it but why is the old girl being split? Hope it works out ok.
Don't drink to many of those barley pops or ya might forget why ya split her!

Glad to hear that you made it OK. Not as much snow here but it is starting to blow around. Hope you don't find any surprises when you get things opened up.

My Dad used to say, "There's a lot of room between the earth and the sky there," when someone else got snow dumped on them. I hope your 400 split job goes well. Let us know what you find. Don
 
We are going after the rear main seal in the tranny just rear of the clutch housing ,throw out bearing, and clutch seal. I made a baffle plate that should take care of the puking that takes place after the tranny warms up. It only pukes when I am in road gear.
 
Chuck you picked a fine day to come back and start work. Did you find someone local to resurface the clutch? I was going to stop at the Morrison Machine Shop and ask Phil but never had a chance. I got to plow this wonderful white stuff all day just to keep up. Back at it tomorrow for round two and hopefully final clean up.
 
Ill check with Phil on my way out to Scotts. Fulfs Road was pretty rough. I pulled two folks out of the ditch around 3 this afternoon.
