Will I guess you can say I bought a " BASKET CASE " ... found a 444 not to far away and I could afford ..
So after cleaning it up .. I decided to paint it since it's in pcs anyway ..
I had to wait a few days , { got a run in it } before I got it sanded and ready for paint again , just finish painting it this morning { looks good , I hope }
1st picture is getting the 444 home with everything ...
The one picture with the fat guy in it is me .. the last picture is after painting it this morning ...
Thought I would share , what's happening at our place ....

I did some searching , and found this Flambeau color ... I think it's close to what was on it .. the pcs that were under something and not faded out ..

Mark, looks like the 444 going to "dress-up" mighty fine. My question is??? with all that shiney paint on the parts how are going to tell what part goes where??? hee hee. Short story took push mower apart many yrs ago. looked at where the paint matched-up to put it back together. Looking forward to finshed product. God Bless

Looks like some good before & after pics for a calendar. I have this friend of mine that makes calendars. How you doing buddy. I have my eye out for a blade for you. Your friend Gerald

Gerald ,

Mark, could you get me more information about the F B paint that you used? I am hoping on painting our SC towards this spring. I want to use an automotive paint , not the " farm store " stuff.
I read this site everyday , so post it here if you want to.
Your painted parts look very nice. Thanks for the pictures. clint

Clint ,
The paint I went with is " Van Sickle " tractor and industrial paint , with hardener ..
I have used the paint in the past { rattle can } and so far it hasn't faded .... and with hardener it should really help .. it has a nice shine ... it's the color I want { might not be right but I like it } ...

Mark. The 444 is looking good. I have used the Van Sickle paint many times and have always been happy. Dennis

Looking good Mark. It'll be like putting a jigsaw puzzle together.
I'm anxious to see how it turns out.

Yes I'm sure your right about a jigsaw ... I'm also sure I'll be asking a lot of questions ...
it's in many pcs... but that was how I could afford to buy it ..
