Pros/cons. I like the look of these beasts but wondering about any weaknesses. What are some of the things I should be looking for?

Dads had this 4890 for about 10 years, it has been a good machine, but all we use it for is grinding hay. It has leaked some antifreeze around the heads since he first got it, but so far it has done its job and we put over 1000 hours on it. It has close to 9000 hours on it. It has the same engine as the 2870 and they only have one small oil filter before the turbo, otherwise the oil is cleaned with a centrifuge. We usually change oil around 70-80 hours for this reason. Make sure you take the centrifuge apart and clean the dirt out of it at each oil change or more often if using in dirty conditions. When you shut the engine off you should hear it spinning for a few minutes, if you don't it needs cleaning for sure. This tractor was majored at 4500 hours so I suppose it is on borrowed time, but he paid 9000 for it and we got 1000 hours of work out of it and it still pulls strong. Smooth running engine and for the horsepower it is putting out, is easy on fuel and little to no smoke from the exhaust. Starts good in cold weather, we did put a tank heater on it for winter starting. There is a button by the injection pump to push for better cold starting. The four wheel steering is temprmental on it, but we only drive a half mile in any direction so its not an issue.
