Air Cleaner Lid - DB 880

I am looking for an lid to fit on my DB 880 air cleaner intake. The tractor is a 1966 slectamatic. Are there any aftermarket lids or will another tractor make fit my DB? Thanks
 
hello Fred. I live in s Idaho, but work in Utah. It's hard to find fellow case men in our neck of the woods. Where are you in Utah? Do you have many cases?
 
I live 20 minutes north of Salt Lake City. I grew up in case country and had a DB 1210 as a kid. Over the years I have owned a couple of Case L's and CC'c. Now I'm trying to fix up a DB 880 (1966 model) that I got out of Preston ID. I am in way over my head but am having fun trying. I had the tractor running yester day when all of the sudden it quit...like the fuel was shut off. Now it won't start...not even blow smoke. I am sure it's a fuel problem but don't know where to start. There are a couple of inches of fuel in the tank. I think I will drain the tank change the filters and re prime....what do you think?
 
Sounds like a plan. Bleed at the top of the filters. Bleed at the 2 points on the injector pump. Crack at least 2 of the high pressure lines at the injectors, then crank the engine till you get steady drops of fuel there. Tighten lines, then it should fire.
 
I suppose you could have sucked some air onto the fuel system, or it has lost it's prime. Does it have a primer pump? I assume it's a diesel? I am not very familiar with DB's, however I have worked on a lot of diesel engines. I work in Ogden and my wife's family is from Hooper. sounds like you live somewhere near Ogden?
