Case 580 se problem

I have a 580 SE backhoe that I'm having problems with the front loader. I recently replaced the o-rings on all four load checks in the loader control valve. Since then I've experienced a problem with the loader. When I try to raise the loader slowly it drops, if I pull back all the way with the lever it raises just fine. Any ideas ???

Sure sounds like you still have some issue in the check valves. Did you remove the check plugs under the secondary cartridges? They are a separate item and need a special tool made easily from a 3/8th bolt to remove them. The check valves as well as the secondary o rings should be replaced with the case o rings as they are a harder compound than ordinary o rings.

If you already have done this I would suggest to go back and re look it. When reinstalling the poppet and spring a little sticky grease is your friend.
