Minot anyone??

I am up here in the beautiful country of Minot ND for work and noticed a sign for the largest threshing show. Anyone from up here in this neck of the woods? I believe the town is called Melita.... I also spotted a couple of case L/G tractors for sale in front of someone's house. I am going to try to stop by tomorrow to try to meet the fella.
 
Melita would be in the Canuckadian province of Manitoba, and I'm not sure if they have a threshing show.

You MAY be confusing that with Makoti (ND) which bills itself as the largest threshing show in ND.

There is a pretty big show in Rollag, MN every Labor Day weekend. Rollag is about 30 miles east of Fargo, ND.
 
Karl, I farm about 5 miles from Makoti, the threshing show is usually around the first weekend in October. Good show, but not so many steamers operating any more, I assume boiler inspection issues. Big parade both days with lots of tractors, combines, implements, vehicles and stationary engines. Saw mill, blacksmith shop, shingle cutting, lots of early buildings furnished, flea market, displays, tractor pull, slow race et.

Thanks for replying Dick. I am out here with the Air Force. We are working near makoti. Seems like a lot of wheat is grown up here. Do you farm with many case's?
 
Karl, yes, I have two 930 comfort kings that I use regularly. I am also an AF veteran, was a radio operator back in the 60's

Don't forget the Dale Hawke museum show in June each year at Wolford ND. There are some nice items there and an interesting museum too. I am a Canuk about 20 miles north of North Dakot a and collect Case. There is also a collector at Melita - Tilburys
