Well it has been really cold and nasty here today. The Mega storm is moveing in to the east of us. No big deal here, but it is only 12F and windchill down to 3.
I got the tractor shop up to 68F this afternoon. The old wood boiler is honking "balls out", and the wifey was happy when I lit the fireplace in the house. Currently 76F here in our family room. HeHe.
Anyway,, back to the 440 cab. Upholstry is in place, (much quiter in there now), but I din't like all the shinny aluminum strapping, so I will paint it flat black to match the upholstry. I scribbled out some full sized grafics on craft paper to take to my long time sign maker. He will tweek them the way I want them. Decided to put a logo on my cabs. (Tripple C cabs).
My brain waves have moved on to finishing my other 440. last pic., although a front 3pt hitch for my wood splitter, and a Mod Eagle hitch on the rear of this 440 are still part of the plan to finish it up.
Stay tuned for the next 440 cab build as I have built it all from scratch without restrictions from existing components, such as the Cub Cadet ROPS that I started with on this build. This cab is an iso-mounted pod cab.

Loren, was thinking about you with all this weather coming in, and watching CNN and wondered if you would light the fireplace, hey how about a "fireside" pic?

Anyway, stay safe, and the "440" is only looking more and more, "factory"

That is beautiful Loren, wish we could have a Barley and talk about old times. Thanks for the pic.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!! Not only do you do s fantastic job of design, but you even decal and give it such a factory look. i'd like to just stand close and watch you work awhile.
It's amazing Lorin.

Great looking factory cab you got there. You do a really great job. Is the Triple C Cab Co. taking orders yet?

I would sure love to stop in and meet you sometime. the Lord has blessed you wih talent and thewisdome to use it. Problem is It is out o my way for now. mr bill

Loren ,I have been watching every post along the way, and only one word fits "Craftmanship"!!! You have it my friend. Beautiful job, with attention to detail that would be the envy of the Case engineers that built the tractor.Great job and thanks for sharing all the pictures.
We have been having the same cold temps. as you, and no snow. In fact very little snow this winter so far, but it ain't over yet. All the best, Bruce

Loren that is a wonderful job, your attention to detail and fabricating skill are something to be proud of. The second tractor looks like a very interesting project also. You are so darn good at fabricating stuff, I would sure like to see ya build a 70 or 90 series hood for the little guy also. Not that you need more things to do, LOL. Rod.

Well, you can get your butt up here on weekends, and we will get rite after it. I have to get the patterns for the decals down to Bobby K tomarrow, and then up to Running's and buy a cab radio, and something for floor mats.

Acg, that's not gonna be complete without a heater, is it?

AC may be a little far out but where you live yuh gotta have heat.

mEl

mEl,Maybe Loren could take a A/C unit and make a heat pump/A/C unit,(modern stuff you know)for that excellent 2015 CCC tractor cab lol:)

Mel, lots of heat from the engine. It is all closed in from the nose peice, along the engine, with the side panals and panning fastened to the plow frame. I had it out a week ago and was very happy with the amount of heat the fan was pushing into the cab.

amazing job, looks really good. I consider myself to have decent fabrication skills but I don't come close to holding a candle to you. That'll for sure make a few people scratch their heads if it makes it to some tractor shows.

A word or warning, did those engines have weep holes in the exhaust manifold? On the bigger Cases,we had to plug the holes up to keep from getting poisoned when putting enclosed Weather Brakes on in the winter and we had a lot more fresh air then you will.Just something to maybe look for,but we were spending 8-10-12 hrs.under full load with no breaks.Anyway very good looking job.
