DC generator belt

Have to replace the generator belt on my DC. The belt is not long enough to get it over the fan blades. Hate the thoughts of taking the radiator off to remove the fan just to replace the belt. Is there another way?

You can get it over the fan blades. It is difficult, but 1 blade at a time.

I use link belt on mine. Dad used them also when I was a kid in the late 50s.

I put an alt.on mine , that might have made the belt shorter .I ended up pulling the Rad. and water pump to get the belt on !

Was wondering where you get the link belt. There are different kinds . One called Nut Link and one called twist link . Which do you use. Question for case collector SC
