970 Fuel Tank

I have a 970 Case with a fuel tank leak. I haven't pinpointed yet although I talked to a Case mech that said they all leak in the same place unless they have been punctured. Anyone know where they leak and if you can repair them?

Since no one has chimed in here. My thoughts would be the return line into the tank left side where the standpipe is. When mine leaked dealer knew where and what to repair. I pulled tank and in fact the return was broken out, drill hole to 11/16 and get a (A143035 grommet, A65890 stud,A65892 washer) for a 90 series tank. You will have to have a different elbow as I recall to screw into the grommet. Also enlarge the hole in the plat form to accommodate the new grommet. Seems as I recall you only want to tighten this grommet two full turns or it will split. HTH Tom
