Case 430 Injection Pump

Hi guys,
I apparently have done a stupid thing!
The fuel shutoff cable and lever on my Case 430 G188D diesel recently recently froze up in cold weather and I could not get the fuel shutoff to push in so I could get the tractor started.
I heated the injection pump with a heat gun and must have damaged the pump as now it runs really rich with lot's of black smoke.
It has a Roosa Master injection pump bearing the numbers Model#971460 DBGFCC481-24AJ1750 G45428
Would anyone know if I might have damaged the pump and where I could get a service manual, and parts kits for this pump?
I have been an automobile mechanic all of my life but is this something to only be attempted by a rebuilder?
Thanks so much. Trav

if you had to heat the pump to get the shut off to move I would bet the ice/H20 in the fuel may well have done some damage to the pump, I have seen damage done to pumps if washed while running but not if they were shut off,, just my thoughts

are you sure it is runnin rich and not just blus smoking cause it is cold ?/mite try some 911 and or lucas fuel cleaner stabilizerin diesel fuel and warm it up ggood by workin ,, if somthin just absolutely don't feel rite ,, mite quit while you areahead and pull the pump ,, solid h2o can be pretty mean ,,//setting vary for the 430-630 series 188 diesel , from 4-8 degrees on pointer flywheel pops 430 is set @6 degrees the liberty 430 is set @2 degrees, and will cold start with no assistancedown to the mid teens ,another 430 is set @ 8 degress,

2,,, don't know if you are near Seymour ind ,, I always use interstyate injection there ,, jeff is very knowledgable reasonable and helpful and friendly ,btw ,done some research some of the 207 blox are being, .. set @0degrees for easier starting

Problem solved....I got real lucky this time. I noticed that #1 fuel injector was popping up and down in and out of the cylinder with the tractor running. I found some broken finger brackets that hold #1 fuel injector into the cylinder. I replaced the brackets and the smoke cleared up and the tractor ran fine immediately. Thanks for all of your help and ideas.
