I have a 580 Super E backhoe that the bucket roll no longer has any power. I was raking and stacking brush with it when noticed roll strength was gone. Today I put a flow meter and guage in line with the roll hose. 10 GPM until bucket hit end of travel and then 2500 PSI with bucket against stop and 0 flow. So piston seals not leaking. Was very surprised to see that amount of pressure as I was expecting if cylinders not bypassing then control valve must be or pressure release broken. If I hang the bucket under something heavy and raise loader bucket will dump. I didn't try that with a pressure guage in the system. Should have. Roll did hold pressure with cylinder against stop without bleeding off. Wasn't expecting that either. Is there anything about the return to dig circuit that contribute to issue?
Just thought I would see if anyone had run into this before and what they found before I tear into the control valve.
Thanks for any insite.
