About 25 years ago I rebuilt the one on the 970. I replaced the shaft that goes thru the spring don't recall what I did but it was manageable to work with. The "bearings" came from Don Dye co. of course now NLA Seem like it F224 or F225. At the local Case place we had a lady Parts manager she must have spent hours finding these kind of parts, unfortunately she passed. The dealer lost a fantastic lady and knowledge base. I digress.
If you come up with something please post so I can find a couple for me. Tom

You mentioned the Don Dye brgs. Are they like cheap bearing in a small diameter wheel 8" to 10"
with a flange and 1/2" or 5/8" hole? I fixed up a Knoedeler seat on a 8N and got them from Phil Heisley who is on the Oliver board. He also some shock absorbers. Great guy. Has a lot of Co-op -- Cockshutt parts.
