Different looking SC

I found this SC picture on the net, and was wondering if the rear wheels were factory or a home built project. I have never seen rear wheels like that on a SC. I also have never seen an SC with the heat shield on the manifold. Just thought it looked neat and thought I would share.

From the looks of all the tractors, the tractor is overseas. I think Case shipped a lot of export tractors without wheels so the all have locally made wheels. Also, a lot of them were tractor fuel/distillate models.

Like Jim said probably a tractor that was imported
I would guess to the UK. I believe they got around import tariffs by making their own wheels.

I think it was cheaper to have the wheels made over seas than to ship the wheels with the tractor.

The heat shield on the manifold is because it is an "all fuel" tractor. The shield is missing on most "all fuel" tractors today. I have one and it's missing the shield.

Yes, that Case S tractor looks like it is at a tractor show in
Europe or maybe England. At the time of manufacture units
built for export sales were designated with the suffix EX on
the serial number plate. A neighbor collector owns a D built
for export' but somehow found its way to Indiana. It is
identified as a DEX. I have never heard how the EX tractors
were different. Changes could have been different gauges
(metric), controls arranged differently, or allowances for
different fuels. It would be very interesting to see the serial
number plate because it might be a Case S followed by the
letters ex... Tractor.

The tires may be the answer. These look like drive wheels off some large pull behind implement that have been adapted to the SC's axle hubs to me. Our NH rake had a smaller tire on the drive wheel that looked like that.

I think you'll find that those are Dunlop tires on Dunlop rims and hubs. The tractor appear to be at a rally in the U K.

Look closely , you can see the cap for the gasoline starting tank above the hood , near the rad cap. clint
